Letter Thickness & Line Weights

When designing CD labels it is critical that you respect the minimal weights for lines and text.

Fig 1 above: When using one color only you can get use small text and lines.

Fig 2 above: When using multiple colors you should increase point sizes and line thickness.

When printing multiple colors such as CMYK the space between the letters as well as the thickness of the letters must be at least 1.5 points. Please avoid serif, old style and light fonts as they tend to lose detail.
