Supplying Your Content Master CDman requests that you provide your Master content on CDR (for CD orders) and DVD-R (for DVD orders). All client-supplied content Masters are considered to be received in ‘final form’. This means that they are ready to manufacture as supplied with no need for modification.
We suggest that you supply a back-up content master in the event the primary content Master fails. Please ensure that you clearly mark your masters as "Master" and if including a second copy "Master Backup"
All masters should include their QUOTE NUMBER so the receiving CSR can determine who's order your disc belongs to.
Your finished product will be an exact match of the content you supply to us. It is the sole responsibility of the client to thoroughly review the content Master(s) from beginning to end to ensure they perform exactly as desired. Any perceived error in the final product that can be traced back to the supplied content Master is NOT a manufacturing defect.
Never send originals – always keep your originals for safe-keeping. Please send us copies of your originals. CDman cannot guarantee the safe-keeping of your assets during transit or at any stage of the production process, and we waive any responsibility for loss or damage of supplied material.
Because CDman utilizes factories across North America, your sales representative will advise you where to send physical shipments. If you do not have this information please call: 1-800-557-3347
Electronic Transfers
Supplying Your Content Master Electronically Due to liability concerns CDman requests that you provide your Master content on a physical CDR (for CD orders) or DVD-R (for DVD orders). This is because a CDR or DVD-R gives you the opportunity to review and confirm your content prior to submitting it to us. The very disc that you confirm and approve is the very same disc we use to create the Glass Master and Stamper used in the manufacture of your order. Think of it as being like a ‘proof’. It’s an excellent safe-guard and we strongly recommend it. In the event that you cannot supply your Master content on CDR or DVDR, and you must supply your Master content ‘electronically’ (for example: via FTP upload), CDman requires the following:
Content supplied in DDP format or WAVE files for mastering may be acceptable
A signed and dated CDman “Electronic Content Waiver Form” - we will send this to you once your DDP or WAVE files are received.
Waiver Form: Because the client cannot review and approve the Master content for accuracy after it has been saved to the DDP format, the client must indemnify CDman from responsibility for potential errors or flaws in the final product that was produced from the DDP file. CDman cannot produce product from a DDP file without a completed Waiver Form.
